Depression happens when you don’t get what you want. That is depression happens when you don’t get the result you wanted from your actions. In other words when you don’t get what you want from life you get depressed. When a kid does not get what he/she wants they throw a tantrum. Depression is an adult tantrum. It means you have the same psychology as a kid and haven’t grown up. You want you want when you want it.

You become anxious when you are unsure off what is going to happen next, or you got what you wanted but you are unsure how long it’s going to last. For example, let us assume that you are in love with someone and after some time you get into your relationship with that person, but you are insecure in the relationship you don’t know when that person is going to leave you And this causes anxiety.

Both are mindset problems. Some of the current solutions for this are meditation, mindfulness, deep breathing, state change, exercise, physical activity, taking time out etc. They provide only temporary relief.
